FAQ
Do you have male and female carers?
Yes we do. All our carer’s are professionally trained and compassionate about providing high quality care to seniors.
My father has regular medical appointments and needs transport and often has trouble understanding medical advice. Can you help my father and how much will it cost?
Our carer can help your father by providing transportation to and from the appointment and can offer advocacy support. We can then provide you with feedback on his appointment. Does your father receive a Home Care Package? If he does then you should contact the provider and ask them to contact us and we can support your father to attend his appointments with support from his home care package.
I would like to bring my mother who has dementia, from her nursing home to my home on a weekend for 1 or 2 hours? What can you do for us and how much will it cost?
We have carer’s with training and experience in supporting people with dementia. We can pick up and return your mother to her nursing home and provide the care and personal support your mother needs. Our staff will ensure your day with your mother is relaxing, fun and carefree for you all. You can find our rates on our website. Our carers’ are paid an award wage. The conditions of the award stipulate carers must have a minimum of 2 hours plus mileage.
My mother and father have always enjoyed day trips in the country stopping for lunch in a nice pub or cafe. Can your service do this and how much will it cost?
We certainly can. We will work with you to arrange the day: where your parents want to go; the level of support they need and what activities they may want to do on their trip. Once we have all the information we can then give a quote, taking into consideration all of the above. Our carer will drive your parents to their dream day out and ensure they have a day to remember.
Do you also support people with disabilities?
Yes we do. We have carers who have experience supporting people with disabilities. We are not an NDIS funded service but if your NDIS plan is self-managed then we can certainly support your family member. If your NDIS plan is managed by a Service Co-ordinator then you can speak to them about the opportunity to use Allinda’s Care & Companion Service.
I have a relative in Aged Care who loves the ballet and the theatre. Can your service support her to participate in attending these event?
At Allinda’s Care & Companion service we believe seniors should have the opportunity to fully participate in activities they enjoy. We can organise the event with your relative and/or yourself and we will ensure your relative has a thoroughly enjoyable time enjoying the theatre. We can even arrange to go in a limousine and have a truly stylish, memorable time.
